Taiwanese 300 mm DRAM fab selects iCADA as reticle management supplier.

iCADA, a German based software company, has received a purchase order from a new major 300 mm fab in Taiwan for their Reticle Management System (RSM).

The RSM will be integrated into the local MES infrastructure and will improve the reticle and carrier life cycle management, inspection management, inspection tool connectivity and mask house connectivity. Furthermore, the customer specific business rule engine, requal and todo planning, as well as the reticle environment monitoring will help the customer to minimize errors and thus reduces cycle time, defects and costs.

The award winning iCADA reticle management solution is a software package for managing the entire reticle life cycle in the wafer fab. It is a Java based tool independent solution and provides for mask house hook up, ahead of time inspection, defect backtracking, just in time delivery, stocker automation, etc. It is improving the production since 1999 in major fabs around the world and has been setting the standards for reticle management in the semiconductor industry.
